NASTY NOVEMBER DAYS

Before going to bed last night, I looked out the door and was this is what I saw.
SNOW.....ug

Today, I look out the window and I see snow on the grass at the nearby golf course. There is something wrong about this picture, don't you think?

Annual checks ups or not, we will not be in Indiana in November again.  We really need to find a better time for doctor appointments.

I read the blogs of friends who have arrived in the southwest and am envious as my toes tingle, not with excitement, but with cold.

I remember the days of "old" when we were still living in our in sticks and bricks.  Beginning around the fifteenth of November until about May first, my feet were always cold.

Lesson learned.

So what did I do on such a miserable day?  I sat and my spinning wheel and spun some yarn.  Today, I will set the twist by wetting the yarn and hanging it to dry.

Now I need to decide what to knit with this yarn.

And how is Noah handling this cold, winter like weather?

This is how!

Thanks for stopping by today.  And a big thank you for the navigating to Amazon.com to make your purchases.

God Bless!

  1. It was 32 with 25 mph winds in Myrtle Beach last night. It seemed very strange because we had a beautiful, warm day at the beach. Boy what a few hours can do! Today we are topping out at 46 with very brisk winds. Yes, there is something wrong with this picture!!

Noah has the right idea:) Too cute!

  3. I guess we should have gone to the SW too since it was 34 in Low Country S.C. last night with 45mph winds. Your kitty has the best way to deal with it all figured out. I'm with you, no more Novembers on the road. Too cold. But it's hard to know when to schedule those annual medical things though isn't it?

    1. You are so right. There just does not seem to be a good time to have medical appointments in Indiana, at least. And to top it off, I don't have a winter coat! Layering.

    1. I don't know what I am going to make. I started spinning the most beautiful lamb fleece today. I hope to have enough yarn for a sweater, whenever I finish spinning this huge bag of fiber.

  9. I always remember November as the dreariest, the most depressing, & the very much most worsest month of the year. Cold gray skies, biting winds, freezing temps, & the once pretty countryside wrapped in a bleak blanket of dismal doom..

  10. If you saw snow, you better be making plans to get out of there. That's not the place you'd be happy spending the winter.

    1. We are out of here the Monday after Thanksgiving, Dec 3. Our family Turkey day is Sunday. You are right....not a place to spend the winter. It often s&£ws around that time.

    1. The funny thing is that I love to spin the yarn. (I have tons of yarn). My knitting is so slow. If I depended on my knitting for clothes, I'd be nude!
