THIS IS MORE SERIOUS THAN WE THOUGHT

IT IS GETTING COLDER THE FURTHER WE TRAVEL!

It was ninety one degrees today at Jojo's.

Our high was in the forties and we will awake to temperatures around 26 degrees in the morning.  We are at an altitude over six thousand feet.

Our first sign of colder temperatures was that we were wishing that we were not dressed in shorts and tees.  Then, we saw THIS on the horizon!

Today, we traveled three hundred sixty one miles and are in Gallup, New Mexico.

The first thing that I noticed was all the billboards littering the landscape.  What a sad site.

It amazes me how each state seems to have it's own personality and beauty.

Colors change almost as fast as the miles change on the odometer.

God's handiwork.

Leaves me breathless

And very grateful for his creation.

And grateful for the friends we have in blogland who have sent so much encouragement, thoughts and prayers.

You have opened our eyes to see the wonders of this experience.....The technology that provided us with the continued care by John's cardiologist even though we were twenty four hundred miles apart.

Thank you...each and every one of you.

God bless each of you and may he enrich each of your lives.

    1. You know Carol, that if you want to make God laugh, just tell Him your plans. I trust his will more than our plans.

  5. The billboards certainly junk up the view. I also hate all the hotels and structures allowed along the beaches. Travel safe today and keep checking those weather forecasts. High winds are certainly no fun to drive in.

    1. No problem. I really meant today's title to be a bit of humor, but I think it concerned more people than those who caught the humor. Love you too.

  9. Glad it was just the weather that was serious! Sorry you're having to move so fast across country, but you'll really have an appreciation for the diversity of landscape. Hope the nastiness in the Midwest has moved out when you get there. Be safe.

    1. I am sorry that I concerned you. A bad attempt at humor. From what we read, the midwest has quieted down.

  11. Glad you're keeping your spirits high. Weather has been awful all over the country this year. I think my sister, in New York, is wondering whether they really will have a spring. Seems they go from the dead of winter to 100 degrees in the summer. Happy to hear that you're learning from a lot of people and your own research that a pacemaker will allow you to continue your RVing life. It's just a shame you were so far away...that's the inconvenience and a good part of your anxiety. Keep on keeping' on. We're all waiting for your daily reports. Glad to see you are still enjoying the scenery along the way.

    1. My spirits bounced all over the place for a couple of days, but all is in perspective now. It was just the shock of being a heart issue. I have fought the COPD issue and am on alert for breathing issues that I had not even considered heart. Now, I have two issues to watch.

  12. The title made me worried. So glad it didn't have to do with John. But 26 degrees oh goodness and you were so prepared for the warmth of California. Hope your travels continue to be beautiful and easy.
